The end goal for BA5 is to produce a character created in Z-brush and imported as a working character into a Game Engine (Unreal Engine, UDK) . The character has to be based upon or represent one of the seven heavenly virtues. These being
- Chastity
- Temperance
- Charity
- Diligence
- Patience
- Kindness
- Humility
Following the industry standard pipeline for character creation, such a silhouettes, developing into iterations and finally building the finished concept into a Z-brush sculpt. I have chosen to take influence from the Hindu Faith, specifically their deities and symbolism, despite the seven virtues being heavily derived from Christian text. Also the character design from Warframe and the Art for Zone of the enders as well as anything other I find in the meantime that is influential.
I have already started to iterate on some of my Silhouettes, but plan to more and continue to iterate, with at least ten potential character designs, before I move on to a model sheet and final sculpt. I will be including excess and personal art to register developmental progress in other areas which will lend to the how my skills are exercised in the time frame of BA5.
